Air Fortress

Air Fortress is a sci-fi action game developed by HAL Laboratory and released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1987. The player controls a space pilot named Hal Bailman who must infiltrate and destroy a series of enemy fortresses orbiting different planets. The game is split into two main modes: side-scrolling shooter levels where the player flies through space and lands on the fortress, and top-down exploration levels where the player navigates the fortress to locate its core and plant explosives before escaping. The game features a unique password system for saving progress between play sessions.
