Renegade

Renegade is a side-scrolling beat 'em up video game originally released in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The player controls a vigilante named "Mr. K" who must fight his way through multiple levels filled with street gangs and other enemies to reach his kidnapped girlfriend at the end of the game. The game features simple controls, various weapons and power-ups, and a two-player cooperative mode. It was well-received for its fluid gameplay and challenging difficulty.
